Kurokuma – Of Amber and Sand (Self Released)
Few bands have the impact that Kurokuma had with their debut record, and even fewer bands would be capable of following it up with something bigger, bolder, and better. Kurokuma are back, and back with something truly special in the form of this new album, Of Amber and Sand.

Mushroomhead – Call The Devil (Napalm Records)
With one hell of a storied history, plenty of iconic music, and a seemingly never-ending ability to reinvent themselves, Mushroomhead have earned their legendary status. However, with that comes expectation and the knowledge that not everything this band has put out is solid gold. Yet their hit rate is higher than their miss, and Call the Devil confirms that.

Endless Valley – Kaskashir (Copper Feast Records)
Showcasing a unique style of haunting psych and progressive soundscapes, Endless Valley will leave a mightily big impression on those who allow Kaskashir to wash over them. Heilung – Lifa Iotungard (Live at Red Rocks 2021) (Season of Mist)
Have you been immersed within the ancient and powerful world of Heilung live? If so, it will come as no surprise to learn that this live recording captures the essence of this band perfectly. Not just sounding immeasurably big, but immensely deep, and almost not of this world. The sense of grandeur, thanks in part to a recording that captures the cavernous location, is remarkable.

Fulci – Duck Face Killings (20 Buck Spin)
This is not our first rodeo with Fulci and we have found their death metal ways to be suitably twisted, garishly wicked, and thoroughly enjoyable. However, this latest effort might be their most colourful yet and the colour seeping out of it is red.
