From epic blackened death metal to head-banging heavy metal, to melodeath, black metal, and synthwave, to progressive grandeur and heavy rock music, it’s a big week for releases and we’ve got a list for you to check out. All these releases are out today!
Rotting Christ – Pro Xristou (ΠΡΟ ΧΡΙΣΤΟU) (Season of Mist)
They write the music, the pace, the tempo that each tale requires. In that, the music for each song becomes a soundtrack of the story being told. Return to Earth – Octavius (Bald Freak Music)
Is enjoying synthwave a guilty pleasure? When it’s done so well, as it is in the case of this EP, who wouldn’t enjoy the sonic experiences that the style of music can bring? Especially when it has an exciting alternative twist that gives it a weirder, but fresher feel.

Callus – Gravis Decennium (Trepanation Recordings)
It’s a great album that some may think is not necessary listening at first, but will come to realise it really bloody is. You can never have enough Callus, and their goal to make these tracks all they could be is well and truly realised.

Sunnata – Chasing Shadows (Self Released)
When you see a word like ‘visionary’ used to describe Sunnata, you might think it’s something of an exaggerated term. However, that’s only because you haven’t heard them yet, because once you do, you’ll whole-heartedly agree.
