Top 6 Triple A Virtual Reality Games For PC

Today we are going to review the best games that we can find in the Virtual Reality environment for PC, making a Top that will cover games from 2017 to the present. For this top we are going to focus only on Virtual Reality games for PC, so we will discard the exclusives of the Oculus Quest and PSVR platform. Although some of them can also be found on these platforms.

What does it mean for a game to be Triple A?

For a game to reach the Triple A category, 3 essential circumstances have to be met. First of all it has to be developed by a major video game studio.

Another characteristic of Triple A videogames is that behind their back they must have a large capital investment for their proper development. Although this does not always guarantee that the game is good.

And finally, to consider a Triple A game, you must have a strong investment for distribution and marketing on the different platforms that are launched.

Once this is known, we are going to take steps to what we consider to be the best Virtual Reality games for PC by doing a brief one by one review.

1. Medal of Honor Above and Beyond

Developed by Electronic Arts, Medal of Honor is one of the most anticipated Virtual Reality games by fans of World War II games. The game was entirely financed by Facebook and Oculus but it must be said that at its launch it had quite a few flaws that little by little they have been repairing. Even so, this game has much strength such as its graphic quality, its history and its level of immersion that will not leave you indifferent.

2. Microsoft Flight Simulator

This is one of the most famous games for lovers of aviation simulators since the first Microsoft Flight Simulator saw the light for the first time in 1982. With its latest installment in 2020 we can now enjoy this game in Virtual Reality, with a map as big as the earth itself. We will also have at our disposal hundreds of planes of all kinds which we can fly if we have some experience. Because if not, I already tell you that you are not even going to leave the airport.

3. Elite Dangerous

And following the line of simulators, we have Elite Dangerous, a space simulator in which we can explore the entire known universe. In addition to having a procedural map, any planet or star detected by a telescope is included in its exact position within the video game. We can also do multiple tasks as a carrier, miner, and space taxi driver or even engage in piracy and merchandise trafficking.

4. Defector VR

If you liked the James Bond movies, Defector is an experience that you should almost certainly play. And it is that in Defector it is the most cinematic game I have ever played. This is the second game in the top fully funded by Oculus. We can do such spectacular things as jump out of a moving car or a parachute from a plane that is sabotaged. With a really good graphic quality and a very memorable soundtrack, this game is perfect.

5. Stormland

The third game financed by Oculus, Stormland will take us to an emotional story where we will play a robot that has to face an invasion. A spectacular graphic quality, very innovative mechanics for its launch moment and a fairly long-lasting campaign make Stormland one of the essential games of Virtual Reality. If you are new to Virtual Reality and did not know Stormland, I highly recommend that you give it a try.

6. RoboRecall

A simple game, of hordes but with a quality completely out of series for when it was launched.Even today we can say that RoboRecall is a game worth playing, it has even received its own version for the Oculus Quest platform with a small visual downgrade. Face numerous robots to save the city from an evil AI that wants the liberation and domination of the machines in the purest Terminator style.
