Sugar Horse Share New Video & Announce Headline UK Tour in February 2025

Bristol-based sludge metal experimentalists Sugar Horse have shared a mesmerising live video for ‘Jefferson Aeroplane Over The Sea’ taken from their latest album to celebrate & announce four dates of UK headline shows in February 2025.

New album ‘The Grand Scheme Of Things’ released via Pelagic Records recalls elemental bands as disparate as Sleep, Oceansize, Mogwai and The Cure. Recorded almost entirely live in one of Bristol’s most derelict churches (the aptly-named All Hallows Hall), the history of the location practically pulses through the monumental record. You can almost hear the floorboards creaking, old lightbulbs flickering – fittingly dilapidated atmosphere for an album concerned with the end of life.

A live recording of stand out piece ‘Jefferson Aeroplane Over The Sea’ soundtracks the powerful new video and proves that Sugar Horse are still raring to pick up where they left off. With a busy 2024 in tow including a tour with labelmates Hippotraktor and a Damnation Festival appearance, the band have shared four special headline UK dates for February 2025 in Nottingham, Leeds, Plymouth & London.

Tickets on sale Wednesday 6th November at 10am.

‘The Grand Scheme of Things’ is out now.

Sugar Horse’s Ashley Tubb on:

Jefferson… is a song about what my father, and my daughters, have missed out on from my father’s passing. A big melodic number in the vein of The Cure’s more synth heavy moments, or the more solemn songs on Joy Division’s Closer.
