‘Sinking Deeper’ – A WORN OUT Documentary

Worn Out, the Irish hardcore metal band, have been making a hell of a lot of noise over the past year, releasing their incredible EP ‘Low’ in August 2024, and then touring all over Ireland and the UK.

They simply are one of the finest modern hardcore bands, utilising metallic elements to enrich their sound, and have built up one hell of a reputation both on record and in the live environment. Both sides of the band as lauded as the other, because they are the best and brightest of Ireland’s metal scene.

I finally got to see them live in February 2025, and had this to say:

I had very high expectations, just go check out last year’s EP, ‘Low’ if you want to understand why, and they did not disappoint. Furiously heavy, but with focused hardcore intensity, they are staggeringly tight live and put many of their peers to shame by not utilising ‘worn out’ hardcore tropes. It’s what makes them special, that metallised edge, and they clearly win a ton of people over here. It’s an awesome 30 minutes and over far too soon, but it will stick in the memory. At least until the next time they come my way.

Now, fans can go behind the scenes and experience Worn Out on tour like never before as they release a 40-minute documentary. Airing on Wednesday 26th March at 8pm (GMT) on YouTube.

Filmed while on tour by the bands photographer, Dylan Scully with Grief Ritual in Ireland in November and the UK in February, the film documents the bands latest EP ‘LOW” and their love for what they do, their scene and how everything came to be Filmed and edited by Dylan Scully (dylpool___)

Worn Out will be back on tour throughout the Spring/Summer.
