Single Slam: Shijima by Another Now

This metalcore five-piece from Eindhoven shows society both the sickening and the fantastic aspects of our world. With their fresh blend of styles, a relentless tornado of punching riffs and abrupt left turns, combined with atmospheric melodies, Another Now creates music for adventurous heavy music fans.

After a successful first release with their double single “Lotus // Echoes” they are releasing their new single “Shijima” out on all platforms on May 17th 2019.

I wonder how many closed-minded metal fans will turn this track off after the opening electronica of this new single from Another Now. I really hope very few because Shijima is a fantastic showcase of modern metalcore/alternative metal.

A relentless amount of heaviness that reaches deathcore levels, while spitting expansive guitar riffs out and lifting the soul with captivating melodic segments. It’s a number of things but solely focused on one thing which is to leave no-one standing.

Another Now’s focus on devastation it’s unbeatable and this is a track that you’ll just want to listen too time and time again. Excellent stuff.
