MØL repackage and reissue their first two EPs as I / II; available on vinyl for the first time; released 7th June through Holy Roar Records!

Danish blackgaze powerhouse MØL have streamed their new single ‘Airy’ ahead of the re-release of their first two EPs I / II, due for release on 7th June 2019 via Holy Roar Records, accentuating the formative years of one of Denmark’s brightest lights in metal.

Where debut LP JORD fully fleshed out their shoegaze-meets-black metal formula to masterful effect, these two early releases showcase the band in a much more raw and unfiltered environment. Not to be confused as lesser-than material or relegated to subpar, I / II both simmer and boil between the ethereal and the vicious. Choice tracks such as ‘Airy’ and ‘Kathexis’ present this dichotomy in dizzying fashion, the later pulling deftly from My Bloody Valentine and Drop Nineteens just as much as Altar of Plagues or Deafheaven.

Remastered and repackaged, MØL’s I / II are given a new life entirely. The hybrid of black metal and shoegaze has never sounded quite as spellbinding or masterful as it does in MØL’s case.

After a busy year following the release of their debut album last spring, MØL have spent their time relentlessly touring, gigging and playing to festival audiences, including supporting Ghost Bath across Europe and more recently with an incredible appearance at the Gaffa Awards in Denmark. Now the band are set to tour Europe with Rivers of Nihil and Black Crown Initiate. The tour will start with a run of German dates in September, and end in October with a show in Belgium.
