I’ve been a huge video game nerd all my life and I have played countless amounts of games. Still choosing a favourite is quite an easy task. My favourite game of all time is Final Fantasy VII.

I got the game when I was maybe 8 years old. (I still have the original PS1 version) So I didn’t fully understand the story back then as I didn’t know much English, but I was still hooked. Nobuo Uematsu’s soundtrack is phenomenal and the song Prelude that’s playing in the main menu is one of my favourite songs in all its simplicity.

I try not to spoil anything so I’ll just scratch the surface here. I love when video games have deep meaningful stories with relatable characters who have deep stories of their own. And this game certainly has those. Cloud, Aerith and Tifa are one of those characters I like the most.

It’s not that long ago I played the game last time. The turn based combat system is still fun to play. The game does look old but it’s not a negative thing. And I can’t compliment the soundtrack enough. Awesome.

If you haven’t played it, you should. And if you feel that the game is too old for you, you can always play the remake. It’s awesome as well.
