My Favourite Video Game: Fortune Teller
My Favourite Video Game is a guest feature from bands and artists where we set them a simple task… tell us about your favourite video game. In this feature, all five members of pop-punk band, Fortune Teller accept the challenge. You can read all about the choice below.
Born late 2022 and coming at you from the striking and rugged Rhondda Valleys in South Wales, pop punk crew Fortune Teller will release their debut EP, ‘Premonitions’, on March 29th, 2024.
Fortune Teller are: Mason Meacham (vocals), Luke Jones (rhythm guitar), Lee Vaughan (bass guitar & backing vocals), Aaron Parfitt (lead guitar), and Josh Davies (drums).
Lee – So many to choose from but “Final Fantasy 7” holds a special place in my heart. It’s an immense storyline that keeps you hooked from the off. The game’s plot twists and turns, combined with its awesome cast of characters, allows you to form a deep emotional connection as you journey through the unforgettable landscapes of Midgar and beyond. Final Fantasy 7 delivered an unforgettable adventure playing it both back in the day and recently as an adult, the games solidified as my all-time favourite game.
Mason – “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” it’s intense. You get to play as a dark side character, which we hadn’t really seen from Star Wars games before, and obviously, the captivating storyline changes your perspective of that character. At the same time, he makes his own change to the light side.
Aaron – Baldurs Gate 3. clocked in 300 hours and what an awesome 300 hours that has been! With the game capturing the best things about the table top games and the unforgettable story and characters. I can’t wait for the official mod support they’ve just announced. Here’s to another 300 hours!
Josh – Picking a favourite videogame, that’s incredibly difficult! I’m not sure I can, but there’s a game that’s definitely stuck with me recently and that’s Alan Wake II. I’m a big survival horror fan anyway, but I think what Remedy were able to achieve with that game in terms of creativity is just something we’ve not seen from other developers. And the story, man, I’ve been thinking about it non stop and trying to piece the pages together. Insane.
Luke – I mean it would have to be Legend of Zelda obviously.. if we’re being specific? That’s a tough one. Totally torn between Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess.
Okay, we’re going with Ocarina of Time. First video game I ever played? Absolutely! Absolute pure nostalgia, busting out bangers with the C pad and smashing up the guard’s jars for rupees. I’m about it! Peak Nintendo, peak video game! Everything from the warm and fuzzies remembering how to play the songs to the absolute horror of getting jumped by a redead (those things were terrifying when I was a kid and they still are!) Name a better game, I’ll wait.
