Sydius: I used to play a lot in my childhood, I enjoyed strategies like Heroes III, Warcraft II, Starcraft. Sometimes I play but always feel guilty and can’t afford a deep required immersion. I also have a request if somebody sometime creates a game that could be considered art. I mean high art beyond entertainment and mass culture.

Alex_Y: My childhood was in the mid-90s. Personal computers were not very developed then and we first started playing computer consoles. First it was Dendy and Nintendo, and then Sega and PlayStation. We played absolutely every genre of games we could find. Until now, the universes of Warcraft, Heroes of Might & Magic and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. have a significant place in my life. But today I want to talk about the universe to which the last song on our debut album is dedicated. It’s Half-Life universe.

For New Year’s celebrations, many countries have a tradition of watching Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. For many years I have had a tradition of going through the Half-Life trilogy from beginning to end: Half-Life, Half-Life 2: Episode I, Half-Life 2: Episode II. And of course I couldn’t help writing a song about it.

The most exciting thing about this meta-universe is the dystopia that Valve’s writers have created. Despite the fact that by today’s standards the graphics of the first HF leave much to be desired, combined with a competent sound design, it creates such an atmosphere that in the process you feel as if you are transported there. So many of the sounds from that game have become iconic.

Immersing in HF you live the fate of the protagonist Gordon Freeman, from the beginning of the game found himself in an extreme situation and for a long time can not figure out what is happening. You understand his despair and at the same time maximum concentration, with which he goes forward and destroys everything that hinders him on his way.

We invite you to dive into the Half-Life universe with our track Welcome To The City 17!
