Hailing from Jonkoping in Sweden, stoner rock quartet Insonika started as a fun jam-project and later turned into a serious act and a force to be reckoned with on the Swedish live circuit. Having played together for a little over five years they have released an EP as well as a full-length album released in 2018 and 2019 respectively. The full-length album ‘False Awakening’ was followed by a month of intensive touring in Eastern Europe, starting off in Estonia and ending in Serbia.

During their five plus years together, they have formed a unique sound and have been compared to the likes of Mastodon, Neurosis, and Ghost.

Their new album, ‘Pithos’ is, in a sense, a concept album based on the Greek myth of Pandora and her box of mysteries and misery. Speaking about the album, the band have said:

Here you have it, the product of our blood, sweat and tears throughout this pandemic that basically messed with the whole balance of this world. All of us at the Insonika camp sincerely hope that you will enjoy each track as much as we have enjoyed making them. Each track has layers upon layers of fun stuff for the music enthusiast to hear and you will surely hear new stuff each time you listen to it.

With banging riffs, massive-sounding drums and rife with 70’s inspired keyboards and organs, ‘Pithos’ is sure to be one for the history books.
