Music News: Earthbound Release Re-Recorded Track – Eve of Tomorrow!

We love London based, melodic death metal band, Earthbound. Releasing their debut EP ‘Endure’ in 2017 (read our review here) and following that up with the EP ‘Desolate’ in 2019 (read our review here).

After a quiet period, Earthbound are gearing back up and at the perfect time. To show just where they’re at now, the band has chosen to re-record a track from the Endure EP. In their own words:

Whilst in lockdown we were unable to rehearse any of our new material as a unit but we really wanted to show how much we have grown over the last few years. We thought the perfect way to do this would be to re-record a track from our debut EP ‘Endure’, we chose Eve of Tomorrow as it is one of our favourite songs, as well as being a fan favourite.

Since the initial release of ‘Endure’ in 2017 we have brought in a second guitarist, John, as well as starting to experiment with orchestral elements. This new version is a perfect example of these.

With the UK starting to return to normal we will be straight back to rehearsing new material. At the moment we have 6 new songs ready to go whenever we’re allowed!

Eve of Tomorrow was our favourite track on the EP. A blend of hard hitting guitars and quick drum blasts. Complimented by vicious vocals that give way in the chorus for something cleaner and super catchy. How do you elevate such an excellent effort? By accentuating the guitars and layering more prominent orchestral elements throughout. A stunning showcase of how far this band has come along in a few short years. If this is what we can expect going forward, then we have much to be excited about.

Eve of Tomorrow will be available via all major streaming services on the 9th April 2021.
