Matter Of Mind – Frozen | New Single/Video – Out Now!
Matter of Mind, the alternative emo rock group from Stockport, have launched their brand new single ‘Frozen’!
It is a visceral anthem of emotional paralysis, painting a picture of isolation and disconnection. It explores the realms of dreams and the impact they can have in our lives. J (lead singer) suffers from sleep paralysis whilst under stress and the lyrics of Frozen, drenched in haunting vulnerability, delve into the sheer panic that can take hold alongside the struggle of feeling lost within oneself, caught in an endless cycle of fear and uncertainty. From the chilling cries of “Wake me up, I’m frozen” to the suffocating weight of “Now it feels like I’m drowning again,” the track encapsulates the desperation of seeking an escape but being unable to break free.
Matter Of Mind have gone against the grain with their musical style and have not stuck to the typical ‘Manchester’ sound. They channel a classic, old school emo/post hardcore influence but with a modern twist.
They throw pop melodies into the pot that will have you singing your heart out until your throat is bloody.
The band have gigged relentlessly, storming the stages of the UK and parts of mainland Europe.
The four piece worked alongside Ben Samson from Lower Than Atlantis on their debut EP and have recently since released a set of singles which they worked closely on with the likes of Phil Gornell and Callum Benson (Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Deaf Havana, Milestones, Hot Milk) at Steel City Studio.
Matter Of Mind are no stranger to radio play. The band have been featured heavily in rotation over at BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and many other UK radio stations, they have even seen plays on Sirius XM from Rodney Bingenheimer in the USA.
The bands single ‘Nausea’ Premiered on BBC Radio 1 with Alyx Holcombe (Nausea Release date 10.03.23).
The band have also seen success from Spotify playlisting. Their single ‘The Killing of You & I’ was featured on Spotify’s ‘All New Rock’ editorial playlist.
On the back of a hometown SOLD OUT Manchester show, various support slots (Including a support with Punk Rock Factory) and with some killer singles on the way, Matter Of Mind are ready for a huge 2025.
