Live Review: Stray From The Path / Make Them Suffer / Void of Vision / Knosis at The Roundhouse (05/11/23)
On a cold Sunday evening, Londoners are leaving their homes for this huge lineup at a lovely venue. The Roundhouse is one of my favourites out there, that I don’t get to visit very often.
Knosis are right up my street, electronic elements with plenty of meaty noise. Breakdowns and lots of spinny spins perfectly to my taste, I’d 100% check them out if you have the chance.
Void of Vision are up next, quite the upgrade for them from the last time I saw them in February at the Black Heart, just down the road from the Roundhouse. They get the crowd moving and play plenty of catchy bangers. They’re always a great safe pair of hands and always play a good show.
Next up are the long anticipated Make Them Suffer – their first time back in London since before covid (as far as I’m aware.) I am very excited for this band, as I’ve been a fan for years and have never had the chance to see them. They open up with the massive ‘Ghost of Me’ which I am very pleased about, they don’t fuck about and it’s over before I’ve even realised.
The long anticipated headliners, Stray From The Path are up next. Their unique hardcore sound has carried them up to this headline slot, it’s well deserved. Bangers like III and Guillotine rip the room in two and you can feel the energy bounce off the walls. The crowd moves and shakes the room with every riff and breakdown. You look around the crowd and you can see ear to ear smiles from everyone there. I can say with absolute certainty that you should go see Stray From The Path.
The lineup, the venue, the performances. All of these bands are fantastic and should you have the chance, go see them all.
