1. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to chat to us. First things first, tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started.

Hello and thank you! Sound Delivery is a rock trio that myself (Jack L. Stroem – Vocals & Guitar), Johan Åberg(Drums) & Waldemar Skoglund (Bass) started last year. We have known each other for several years, dare I say our entire lives as musicians. The concept of Sound Delivery came after we decided to jam a little more frequently and have the jams have a rock edge this time around. I brought some song idea i was fond of but never had a band that suited the sound, we rearranged some bits and the song turned into Cry Wolf and it felt like a true band effort and we all enjoyed the process so much that we simply could not stop jamming and writing together. Two or three months later we went to my studio to record an EP, but we wrote another 4 songs in the studio and it became an LP. Thoroughly enjoyable process!

2. Someone comes to you and asks you to sum up what kind of music you play – what do you tell them?

Free form rock! Haha no but in all seriousness its just rock music we play, with a somewhat progressive edge cause we try to avoid the more conventional song shapes and chord progressions while still keeping it catchy. Total music expression in a sort of way.

3. What’s currently keeping you busy? A new album/EP/single release? A new video? Playing live, or planning ahead?

Right now we are promoting our debut album simply called Sound Delivery that we released in November. We had some gigs but have more coming up soon once our schedules sync up nicely. You can expect a lot of different things from us this year too!

4. What is about this current period that is particularly exciting for you?

Time period? I would say it is how connected the world is in terms of music, anyone can find the music they love instantly. You just gotta learn how and where to look. I think sadly a lot of people get fed boring or subpar music through algorithms without knowing how much fantastic music that gets released daily.

5. Tell me about the work that has gone into making it a reality and what it means to you.

This process was honestly very easy, some records are easier to write and record than others. This was definitely one of the easy ones despite us pushing ourselves to do some difficult playing on the album. We are very proud of it and to have played most of the songs live in the studio just makes it extra fun!

6. Making music and being creative can be a very positive experience and can be very good for the mind. In what way has making music had a positive impact on your mental health?

It calms all of us down, if not we would turn back to rage filled vikings like that of our ancestors. Now we are just slightly angry musicians haha.

7. It can also be incredibly challenging, more so in the modern times. What have been some challenging aspects of making music and how have you overcome them?

Making music has never been easier, and reaching our audience has never been easier. However going to gigs etc is not a very fun experience. I think most concerts are too expensive, hopefully all bands lower the ticket prices to make a regular music fans evening have more “bang for the buck” until then we will be somewhat alone with low price tickets.

8. How do you handle the online aspects of being in a band? Having to put out content constantly, promoting across several different social media platforms, and having your success measured in likes and follows?

We started out with an album now to make ourselves happy, and whomever else that enjoy it happy! 2025 we will do the more conventional one single every 2-3months to please the Spotify overlords etc. but it will be a fun challenge for us!

9. How do you make this part of things enjoyable, and fulfilling, for yourself?

Honestly it is our weak point, we write songs, record them and perform them live. Promoting a song we already have released is difficult for us since we are already busy working on the new song we’re working on. Still navigating the world of online promotion.

10. Speaking directly to listeners – what would you ask they do to help support you?

We simply wish that they enjoy the music and recommend us to their friends, and if their friends don’t obey simply force them haha!

Just buy our music/merch if you can afford it and tell us if the music has reached you on a deeper level, it means a great deal for any musician to hear that.

11. Outside of music, what do you like to do to relax?

We are all movie buffs, enjoy good food, nature and Jack is a big history buff. As Swedes we thrive on Fika and “lagom”.

12. Where can people find you?

On all the usual social media things, you can also find our merch on here.
