1. How did you get started as a band?

We started a band in 2014 in St Petersburg, Russia. Gene and I were already experienced musicians and got married a few months before that so that we ‘ve decided to form our own band where we could be ourselves and play/sing what we want to.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Melodic and heavy. Not an ordinary female fronted metal band. We’re absolutely not interested in playing power metal or anything like it, if you know what I mean. We chose our own path.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

I don’t know. I’m a melomaniac and I’ve never been a kind of a person listening to 1-2 genres only. I’ve been listening to different kinds of music from classical to Ella Fitzgerald, from Genesis to Whitechapel, from Anberlin to Run-D.M.C. etc.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

The music we create is not for everyone so I don’t think genres like that can get billions of views but we’re getting good results for our segment. Especially with 2 of our latest music videos.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

When I have some spare time I can read, go into the woods, visit theaters, concerts. Forest is a place to relax for me: silence, birds, fresh air. Visiting theaters and concerts is ordinary for St Petersburgians as it is a cultural capital of the country and we’ve got used to visiting them since childhood.

6. What are your future plans musically?

Firstly, we’re going to release our EP “Inside” on March,25th. One of the tracks is featured with Lord Nelson (ex-Stuck Mojo). Secondly, when everything gets back to normal we’re up to start playing gigs worldwide again.
