Interview: Evan Marlowe (Writer/Director) of Abruptio

Written and directed by Evan Marlowe, and starring James Marsters, Christopher McDonald, Hana Mae Lee, Jordan Peele, Robert Englund, and Sid Haig. Abruptio is enacted entirely using lifelike puppets.

It follows Les Hackel, a guy down on his luck, who wakes to find an explosive device has been implanted in his neck. He must carry out heinous crimes in order to stay alive while trying to identify the mastermind manipulating the now twisted and strange world around him.

We spoke to Evan about the incredible amount of effort that went into making the movie. As well as working with such a strong voice cast, the pros and cons of working with puppets, and so much more.
