1. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to chat to us. First things first, tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started.
After a substantial hiatus from the music scene, Frontman Hardman rediscovered his musical fervor, embarking on a journey of recording songs in his home studio. Collaborating with Jared Gunston Brought forth the first track in January 2021, and so the birth of Diverted Disorder—an idea that had lingered in Hardman’s mind since 2012.
The project officially transitioned into a four-piece band in August 2022, and their inaugural live performance took place on November 26, a momentous occasion for the newly formed group. 2. Someone comes to you and asks you to sum up what kind of music you play – what do you tell them?
Imagine If Thrash, blues, death metal and core had a baby. That’s probably the easiest.
3. What’s currently going on in your camp? New releases? Tours? Etc.
Plans for a UK tour in August, another Anti-GBV Tour and a new album on the horizon.
4. What has been the most positive experience of making music to date for you?
The first anti-GBV tour was amazing, we teamed up with amazing bands and made a difference, it feels good to help others.
5. Likewise, what has been some of the more challenging aspects and how have you overcome them?
We’ve had a bit of band member issues, but we have new members and the vibe in the band has gotten so much better.
6. How do you handle the modern expectations of being in a band? Always online, having to put out content constantly, your success measured in likes and follows?
We embrace the modern era, and we love it. It’s hard work, I don’t believe your success is measured in likes and follows, it’s measured in hard work.
7. What’s something that really ‘grinds your gears’ about the industry/business these days and what would you propose is done to combat it?
Loads of politics in the scene, I guess we follow our own flow and when opportunities are not presented, we make our own.
8. Speaking directly to listeners – what would you ask they do to help support your music?
Stream our music, tell your friends and buy merch.
9. Outside of the music, what’s do you do to relax?
To be honest, I don’t get much time to relax anymore, music took over my life, when we’re not rehearsing, we’re recording or busy with pr projects or networking, but I find the journey exhilarating.
