Horror Short Review: The Jogger (2023)

The Jogger is an award-winning horror/thriller short from FroVideo and writer/director, Daryl Denner. A disturbing tale, told without a single piece of dialogue spoken, and with some frightening real-world parallels.

A woman is enjoying a morning jog in a park when she passes a man sitting on a bench. He watches her to the point where she feels uncomfortable. Dismissing his creepy behaviour, she continues her jog, until she passes him again, on a different bench and watching her intently.

That’s weird, right? That’s just the start and Daryl Denner has some impressive creative ideas to make this short stand out as it goes on.

A short with a feature film mentality, The Jogger looks, sounds, and feels big and bold. The acting is excellent and the use of music to enhance scenes and help tell the story is very inspired. It won’t leave you feeling good (story wise) but it will leave thoroughly impressed (creative wise). Check this excellent short out below.
