Horror Short Review: Slumber Jack (2024)

Have you ever heard the story of Slumber Jack?

Written by Richard Kodai and directed by Wesley Mellott, Slumber Jack stars Chloe Carroll as Janice and Salina Nicole Miller as Kate. Two women who are enjoying some wine and telling each other scary stories with twists. Which is where the story of Slumber Jack comes in.

Once upon a time a little boy ((Jackson Deen Goral) was celebrating his ninth birthday party with his family when a manic with an axe attacked. Then the boy woke up… but that’s not where the story ends. This is a tale with a twist, multiple twists, and it’s quite entertaining in the end.

It’s a three-minute horror short, so there’s not a lot of meat to the bones, but what is offered is still quite satisfying. It’s a solid watch.
