Horror Short Review: Run! (2015)

Lasting a little over a minute, Run! is a fantastic example of how to make something creepy and effective in a super-short amount of time. From Nico Schröder and starring Patrick Ernst, Run! tells a very simple story.

A jogger is out for a run, deep in some woods, he gets the sense that someone is behind him. When he looks, no-one is there, so he continues forward.

Again though, his senses seem to pick up someone behind him, so he turns around and this time sees a figure in black racing towards him. Fight or flight? He chooses flight and races off to get away from this entity.

What happens next? Watch it yourself below to find out. It’s well worth it too. As the blend of an amazing location, crunching leaf sound effects and jump scares works brilliantly. It will frighten you. Which is the highest praise that can possibly be given to a short that barely passes the minute mark.
