Placebo is a 2-and-a-half-minute effective tale dealing with the topic of body dysmorphia. Have you ever wished you were somebody else? A young woman does. She wants to look like her favourite actress & finds a willing surgeon.
She believes this is what she needs to make her happy but as we see at the end, it’s not what is on the outside but what we have inside that really matters.
Using a few gruesome shots intersected with actresses that don’t say a word but convey their feelings with expressions, Placebo is about finding a way to be comfortable in our own skins.
