Horror Short Review: Mama Agnes 2 (2024)

From creator Alexanderthetitan comes Mama Agnes 2, the sequel to 2023’s Mama Agnes, a satisfying horror short (starring Samari Ijezie and Kylah Whittaker) that leaves you feeling uncomfortable (read our review here).

Starring Samari Ijezie and Kylah Whittaker again, alongside Jennifer Buckley, Mama Agnes picks up only moments after the end of the first short. Where a young girl was greeted by someone, or something, that looked exactly like her mother, Mama Agnes. Who has now arrived home and doesn’t quite believe her daughter’s insistence that a doppelganger is inside the house.

Is there actually something sinister going on, or could medication and health issues be to blame? That’s what this short explores, in a frightening way. It is another satisfying watch that switches style and tone in the last two minutes to ensure everyone watching goes away feeling that little bit more uncomfortable.
