Horror Short Review: Friend (2023)

Friend is the debut horror short for Foreverus Production. Coming in at around 3 and a half minutes and featuring some delightful moments of tension.

A young woman named Nathalie is at working from home late one evening as an IT specialist. She gets a call and runs through some stock options that results in the person on the other end of the line getting abusive.

Hanging up, she decides to take a break and grabs some wine from the fridge before putting her headset back on and taking her next call. This person has an internet problem and is extremely friendly. His demeanour puts her right at ease as she talks him through resetting his router. That is until he says something extremely unnerving.

Want to know what it is and what happens next? Check it out below. It is a worthwhile watch as it has good tension and plays on the ‘creep’ factor nicely. It also doesn’t end up with the norm – a jump scare. Instead, leaving things up to your imagination. That’s a welcome twist on the horror short formula.
