Horror Short Review: Dreaming Of A Light Christmas (2017)

Super short at just slightly over 4 minutes long, Dreaming of A Light Christmas sees a young boy wrapping up presents, putting them under a tree, opening his advent calendar and leaving two coins on his bedside table before going to sleep.

The next morning he wakes up and finds his stocking disappointingly empty. He heads into his mother’s bedroom to find it slept in but empty. Downstairs he finds her with a manic look on her face and with lights wrapped around her neck. This part is legitimately creepy and suggests a more realistic take on Christmas horror.

Until the boy realises that he now has lights around his neck and he is dragged off by something unseen. It was all a dream though!

Awake, he rushes into his mother’s room where she is asleep in bed. They cuddle and everything seems great. Until we see something creeping along the hallway outside heading for the room.

I won’t spoil it, just check it out yourself below. It’s a fantastic short that delivers the creep factor, is a little bit scary and pays it off wonderfully.
