Horror Short Review: Curve (2016)

An award-winning horror short, and for good reason, writer and director Tim Egan has crafted something exceptionally unsettling with Curve. Taking minimalism to a new level, and leaving viewers with a sense of dread.

It’s so simple. A woman (Laura Jane Turner) wakes up to find herself precariously on a smooth, curved like surface over a dark and terrifying pit. Her environment is almost otherworldly, and there is nothing to hold on to. Any small movement on her part risks seeing her plunging into the unknown depths below, and there are disconcerting noises coming from the deep.

One of the tensest horrors you may ever see, Curve awakens a primal sense in all, the primal sense of fear. Put yourself in this position… what would you do? What could you do? All the questions that would be flying through your head as you try to calm yourself and think rationally. How did you get here? Where are you? What is in the dark below? It’s terror at its most basic. The unknown.

How does it end? See for yourself below, but be prepared to be left feeling ice cold afterwards.
