Horror Movie Review: Evil Bong 3: The Wrath of Bong (2011)

The third Evil Bong movie was released in 2011, 2 years after the last film. We quite enjoyed what both the first and second films have had to offer. So, going into The Wrath of Bong there was a lot hope that it would continue to have the quirky comedy and charm seen so far.

You can read our review of the first film here and the second film here.

Disappointingly though, Evil Bong 3: The Wrath of Bong swings, misses and knocks the bong off of the table completely. With almost the exact same story as we’ve seen twice before and a cast that don’t quite seem to care as much, this is a real let-down.

Once again most of the original cast return (not all of them though) as an evil alien bong crashes on earth. In horror what do you do when an asteroid hits? Touch it of course!

This releases the evil alien bong which has one mission…to take over the world! The stoners that have battled evil bongs twice before are forced to try and stop it but they’ve not dealt with power like this before.

Evil Bong 3 3

Remember the ‘Bong World’ from the first movie? Well, here we have ‘Bong Planet’! Who will help save the Earth? Only Eebee, the original Evil Bong.

With so many bad jokes, so much topless nudity, so much of characters getting high and repetitive performances all-round, it’s no surprise that Evil Bong 3: The Wrath of Bong is a bad movie. It’s such a shame because as we said, the first two are decent, considering they are Full Moon Picture horror movies about an Evil Bong.

Evil Bong 3 4

They were decent because the characters were still interesting. The story moved forward. The cast had good chemistry and it was funny at times. None of this is here. While it’s not ‘stab your eyes’ out bad, there is almost nothing to recommend. Unless, like us, you’re working your way through the entire series.

After such a lacklustre showing here, the writing is on the wall for the Evil Bong series. Yet we still have another three sequels!
