Game Review: I’m Ping Pong King :) (Mobile – Free to Play)

I’m Ping Pong King 🙂 is a fun stickman version of ping pong/table tennis with simplicity and addictive gameplay at its core. Minimalistic but cleverly challenging, this is a shining example of how to do free to play right by Orangenose Studios.

Your aim is to beat 16 different rivals to be crowned king, each one having varying levels of skill. Simply tap left or right on the screen to control your stickman and hit the ball back. Timing is key as the balls will come at you at varying speeds and good concentration is needed to win.

It’s exhilarating to come back from behind to win and you’ll feel like a champion.

The simple and clean graphics make it even easier to play and the animations of the stickmen are charming.

While there isn’t loads of content, it has so much replay value thanks to the increasing difficulty of your opponents. It’s easy to win but just as easy to lose. Unlike many other free to play games on the market, I’m Ping Pong King 🙂 doesn’t spam your screen with ads. A simple banner ad sits at the bottom and a pop-up appears after you’ve finished a game.

The sole in-app purchases is to remove them for £1.99. Even that is reasonable considering how much fun and challenge can be gained from the game. You’ll feel genuine stress as rallies go on and on and on!

It’s begging for more content or a sequel though. One that maybe adds some tournaments and/or a season mode.
