Feature: Digital Book Demo Tapes ’90 (Daniele Badursi – Italian Raw Art Fanzine)
Daniele Badursi’s is the founder of the historic Italian Raw Art Fanzine. The fanzine was famous in Italy in the late 1990s. This digital book is a collection of more than 200 demo tapes covers (some rare) of bands with Metal, Rock, Punk, Dark, Gothic & Indie.
A fascinating look back at a format (cassette tapes) that is making somewhat of a resurgence amongst collectors.
You can read the digital book right here for free.
Author, Daniele Badursi had this to say regarding the book:
“The digital book with cassettes tells us an important historical record. The collection of audio cassettes slows down in the late 90s and stops in the following years due to the initial spread of the cd recorder. To continue in technological evolution with the final step to digital media. As well as liquid music between CD, mp3, streaming, download, YouTube, Bandcamp, and more.
In addition to being a gift for fans, this update is certainly a fair tribute. A tribute that is also dedicated to all the bands that have contributed to the existence of the Italian and foreign underground music scene in the second half of the 1990s.”
