F1 2021 Among Hottest Gaming Titles Of The Year
2021 is promising to be a good year for racing game fans, with the highly-anticipated F1 2021 set for release on 16 July 2021 across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and next-generation consoles. F1 2021 follows in the footsteps of F1 2020, which has been hailed by some as the franchise’s best and most playable game to date. While the essence of last year’s release has been maintained, the 2021 edition promises to deliver an even more enjoyable racing experience.
A brand new story mode await
F1 2021 features a brand-new story mode known as Braking Point, which will take players on an amazing adventure as they race to rise above Formula 2 ranks and join the exhilarating world of Formula 1. The mode will provide players with a taste of the lifestyle of an F1 driver, both on and off the track. The story mode graphics are incredible, and feature some of the best visuals the franchise has delivered to date. Although many racing gamers are comfortable using a controller, racing wheels are believed to produce a more immersive gaming experience. If you want to get the most out of all the game modes, investing in a quality wheel with strong and detailed force feedback and a comfortable grip may be something to consider.
Die-hard fans will love the Deluxe Edition
If you are a die-hard F1 fan, the standard ‘vanilla’ edition of F1 2021 may not leave you entirely satisfied. Cue the Deluxe Edition, which is not only launching three days early, but also comes with a host of very cool extras. Fans ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive seven iconic F1 drivers that can be utilized in My Team, the Braking Point content pack, and 18,000 PitCoins. The in-game currency can be used to buy Podium Passes and items such as car liveries, gloves, helmets, emotes, and poses from the shop.
Career mode gets an added feature
When ‘My Team’ was introduced in F1 2020, players could assume the role of both racing team owner and head driver. Players were responsible for allocating funds, signing sponsors, picking teammates, and developing racing facilities. ‘My Team’ once again features in F1 2021, albeit with some changes to ‘Career Mode’. Players will now be able to enjoy a two-player career, with each player being able to choose their own assists. Co-operative and competitive race modes are available.
New tracks to be added post-release
Over the past 12 months, the 2021 Formula 1 calendar has had the Codemasters team pulling their hair out. Late additions to the calendar included Imola (previously known as the San Marino Grand Prix and now the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix) and Portimao. In addition to this, the layout for Jeddah has also only recently been confirmed, making all three unlikely inclusions in the initial release of the game. It has, however, been confirmed that all three tracks will make their way into the game in the form of post-release content.
There are less than three months to go until the release of F1 2021. It is just enough time to upgrade your racing setup and prepare yourself for many long nights of intense racing.
