EP Review: Rogue Awakening – Feed Me Fire (Self Released)

Rogue Awakening are a hard/alternative rock band from Horsham, in the UK. They released their debut EP ‘Feed Me Fire’ on the 14th July, 2023.

A melting pot of creative ideas and sounds, Rogue Awakening are an exciting prospect based off this debut EP. Where four tracks come at you thick and fast, in a blur of groovy riffs, thundering percussion, and powerful vocals. The EP, and the band as a whole, are so much more than just another alt-rock band.

Starting things off strongly with the anthemic head-banger and body-shaker that is the title track. Rogue Awakening have arrived, and we’re all welcome at the party. An invitation that few will be able to turn down, thanks to even more impressive numbers like Dark Thoughts and Overshadowed.

The former is a melodic showcase of two vocalists working off each other and has a lot of impact, lyrically. Whereas the latter is an animated rocking listen with a big chorus and some cutting riffs. Then it’s time for Bored, and Rogue Awakening putting their stamp on the modern scene with an emphatic example of their infectious groove.
