EP Review: Ritual King – Earthrise (Self Released)
Manchester based stoner/blues rock trio Ritual King will release their new EP, Earthrise on February 23rd 2018.
Fuzzy stoner groove introduces Ritual King as Ideology bends time to deliver a feel-good bluesy sound built around throbbing bass & impressive clean vocals. An unexpected guitar solo is the icing on the cake of a thrilling opener.
Tides slows things slightly with a grungy effect but knocks it out of the park with wonderfully melodic riffing & booming bass before But Away rounds out the short EP. The final track exemplifies just why Ritual King are a band well worth keeping an eye on going forward. The stoner riffs mixed with the ear-pleasing vocals is like a really comfortable bed after a long & tiring day. You just sink into it, content & ready to let relaxing sleep claim you.
The future is bright for Ritual King.
