EP Review: Putridity – Greedy Gory Gluttony (Willowtip Records)
Italian brutal death metal squad Putridity will release their new EP ‘Greedy Gory Gluttony’ on CD, 7″ vinyl, and digital formats July 7 via Willowtip Records.
The band released the following statement concerning the forthcoming EP:
Greedy Gory Gluttony is a perspective on the Putridity evolution through the years since 2005 till now. We revisited old material paying tribute to inspirational death metal roots and the two new songs are an anticipation for our upcoming album Morbid Ataraxia.
Putrid in name, putrid in nature. You should know what you’re getting yourself into here from the name of the band and the title of this EP alone. Should you still be none the wiser, let us enlighten you. This is the sound of your guts being pulled out through every orifice you have. It’s the sound of eye-bulging, choking, violent vomiting, the sound of flesh being torn, muscle being peeled, bones being snapped, and spirits being broken.
It’s brutal death metal and few are as brutal as Putridity.
If the sound of extreme is your jam, then this ‘stop-gap’ EP will delight. It shows a band still festering with maggot-ridden life. As savage as ever as they both look to the past, the future, and towards the legends of the death metal scene. Five tracks, one of which is a Cannibal Corpse cover, Greedy Gory Gluttony will leave you in pieces.

1. Adipocere Retribution
2. Sodomize Epileptic Chunks

5. Ecstasy in Decay (Cannibal Corpse Cover)
