EP Review: Night Thieves – Polarity (Self Released)

London heavy rock four-piece Night Thieves are poised to climb higher with their blistering new EP, Polarity, out on January 19th, 2024.

The appeal of Night Thieves is abundantly clear on this EP as the four-piece bring forth an attractive and listenable style of alternative heavy rock. Each track proving to be anthemic, but with enough clever twists on the formula to help hold the attention. Hitting the ground running with the infectious banger that is Collide, before getting a bit braver with the heavy riffs on The Way the Story Goes.

The balance of melody, harmony, and heaviness is done very well here, and the powerful vocal range on show ties it all together nicely. Although, the smoothness of the vocals and powerful chorus on Through the Looking Glass might be what really turn heads.

Finally, it’s the heavy energy of Walkaway to leave most listeners wanting more. Night Thieves are a talented bunch and this EP is a great showcase of that.
