EP Review: Necrochaos – Crawling Through Cadavers (Godz Ov War Productions)

On February 2nd 2020, German death metallers Necrochaos will release their new EP, Crawling Through Cadavers via Godz Ov War Productions. His blood is your misery! His body your decay! Your death his only wish!

Bathed in the blood of those that sully the name of death metal, Necrochaos stay rigidly true to the style. For better or for worse, the demonic entity offers nothing but five intense and savage tracks of noise. The kind of noise that has a stink of rotting flesh about it. That when you close your eyes and hit play, you can see the oozing fluids of decay and hear the sound of maggots and flies crawling over every inch of the carcass.

It’s a visceral image because Crawling Through Cadavers is a visceral listen. It’s not going to turn the death metal world upside down or anything. Nor if you’ve never enjoyed death metal will you find your mind changed here.

However, if you love a bit of organised chaos played low and with the stink of death emitting from it then Necrochaos have delivered on Crawling Through Cadavers. Try and stop yourself from head-banging along…it’s way more difficult then it’s worth. Better to join the pile of carcasses surrounding Necrochaos.
