EP Review: The House Call – Dirt Under My Nails (Self Released)
Dirt Under My Nails is the forth-coming EP from bluesy hard rock band, The House Call. The three-track EP will be released independently on September 7th 2017.
Opening with the EP title track, Dirt Under My Nails will put the biggest smile on the faces of blues-based rock fans. Gorgeous vocals with uplifting melody & memorable riffs, the drive-in movie vibe it gives off will have you humming it for hours after it’s finished.
Unfriend Me goes for a sleazier beat & once again showcases vocals that are dripping in sultry goodness all backed by catchy hooks.
Dirt Under My Nails wraps up with a slow melody of Long Cold Road, a song that creates a picture of a dark & cold night driving through the winding desert with no destination in mind. Utterly stunning, getting the blend of blues & rock perfect.
It leaves you wanting more, so much more. The House Call can be very proud of this EP. It’s pure quality from the first second to the very last.
