EP Review: Elimination – Of Gods And Beasts (Self Released)

Formed in 2007, Elimination from the depths of Suffolk set out with one vision, to create pure metal devastation. Shoot forward 13 years and the band are getting set to unleash their brutal new three-track EP titled ‘Of Gods And Beasts’. Out on August 7th 2020.

Having made a hell of a name for themselves already, it’s time for Elimination to remind everyone just why their brand of hardcore-infused thrash is as relevant as ever. With three absolute rampant and tumultuous tracks to showcase on their new EP.

In the Name of Violence is first up and sees the creature go from a deep slumber to all encircling bedlam in an instant. The restless riffs are swung wildly, the drums and bass are moving so fast and the spitfire vocals drip in molten fire. It’s such an animated start.

The Return then kicks off with a flurry of drums and guitars before settling into a comfortable rhythm. The track really coming to life at the mid-point with a ripping guitar solo. Before the EP ends with What Have I Done? The exclamation point on a roaring release.

It might be short but it’s impactful. Elimination proving that they’re still at the top of their heavy game.
