EP Review: Crossing The Limits – Perseverance (Self Released)

Hailing from Norwich, Crossing the Limits are a quintet about to release their debut EP, Perseverance on April 6th 2018.

Perseverance 2

Upbeat and bouncy, Crossing the Limits’ five-track EP shares much in common with the likes of State Champs, early Paramore and Milk Teeth. In that it’s all about catchy rhythms and hooks.

Perseverance’s pop-punk effort is fun & built around memorable choruses, great vocals and just a touch of an edge in the riffs. Won’t Settle is a solid enough start, hardly going to set the pop-punk world alight before Predictable shows off a bit more imagination. Of the two it’s the latter that leaves an impression.

The lightness of the music on show certainly will appeal to those who like their rock music with a bit more sugar and it’s hard not to tap your foot along to Reverse and Chaos. Stop fighting it, Crossing the Limit have crafted a memorable modern pop-punk record that can certainly hold its own with the bigger bands in this genre.
