EP Review: Crom – Into The Glory Land (From The Vaults)
Welcome to Crom’s new chapter. Into the Glory Land is the first output since Walter “Crom” Grosse (ex-Dark Fortress) signed his epic heavy metal project to From the Vaults, and only a foretaste for what will follow later in the middle of 2022. Two brand new songs of pure epic heavy metal and three emotional acoustic tracks.
Into the Glory Land will be released in digital and LP formats by From the Vaults on December 3rd, 2021.
For the glory of heavy metal. Worship at the feet of it. Worship at the feet of Crom. Stand tall and walk Into the Glory Land. The epic head-banging brilliance of the two non-acoustic tracks are sure-fire ways to encourage these feelings. Punchy and pounding instrumentation, magnificent vocals and the feeling of cheer makes the opening title track one to remember.
That’s followed by the ‘just as grand’ sounding Riding into The Sun, where the galloping pace kicks all kinds of ass. Heavy freaking metal indeed.
What we then get are three more heartfelt efforts, tracks that let Crom’s wonderful voice soar. Three tracks of sweet, folkish, and overpoweringly captivating efforts. The Hanging Tree’s power, Wings of Fire’s poise and Song to Hall Up High’s epic melody.
It’s an epic EP that combines heart and soul perfectly. A taste of what is to come from Crom.
