EP Review: Between You & Me – SH!T YEAH (Self Released)
Australian pop-punk quintet Between You & Me will release their long-awaited new EP ‘SH!T YEAH’ on April 5th, 2024.
If you’re looking for originality, you’re going to be left wanting by SH!T YEAH. After all, it’s pop-punk and there’s only so much you can do with that sound. So, forget that, and instead focus on the most important aspect of all, which is simply if it’s good pop punk.
You know what that means. Tons of heart and soul, bouncy blasts of nostalgic energy, emo-esqe emotion, and more infectious vibes than a chicken-pox party. Which, happily, Between You & Me deliver on this EP. Six tracks long, and each will leave you with a big smile spread across your face.
Filled with classic pop-punk sounds, but also with some clever modern ideas that make it sound so much more fresh. Listening to SH!T YEAH is reminiscent of the time you first heard the likes of Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Blink 182, and more. Immediately grabbing the attention and holding it firmly with lovable track after lovable track.
They get it, and they have the talent to showcase it. It’s no surprise that they’ve blown up significantly already, and that fire isn’t going to dampen anytime soon. Not when we’ve got the likes of Kill My Vibe, Nevermind, and YEAH! to enjoy. Three of the EP’s best efforts, but that’s an easy thing to say when all six tracks are bangers.
Between You & Me – SH!T YEAH Track Listing:
1. Kill My Vibe
