Demo Review: Broken Trinity – Demo (Self Released)
Featuring current members of Soniq Armada and Murder Van, Broken Trinity are a blackened doom metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. They released a two-track demo in June 2019.
Getting the hairs standing up on the back of the neck, Robes of Purple and Gold is glorious. One guitar then the next before the bass and drums enter the fray to give it a meaty deep sound. Finally followed by the vocals which are mostly clean and old school except for occasional blackened scowls. It’s a spectacular first track.
The second is Culled By Odin’s Hand and drags things down to even darker and deeper doom depths. Flashes of pace and the clean singing stops it weighing things down too much but it is still a beast of a listen.
The point of a demo is to introduce people to your sound and hopefully create interest. Broken Trinity’s demo is an exemplary example of this.
