Christmas Horror Short Review: Christmas Treat (2022)

From creator Jeff Scott comes a delightful festive horror short that will have you looking at your Christmas tree with a little bit of suspicion, or at least the one in your friend’s house.

Nick (Sam Schroeder) has invited his friend Chris (Jeff Scott) over on a cold Christmas evening to hang out and drink some wine. He is in a very festive mood, having gone all out with the decorations, which includes an impressive tree.

Somehow, he accidentally cut his arm while decorating that tree and the blood is seeping through the bandage. Seeing this, Nick goes to get cleaned up, leaving Chris alone with the tree.

What happens next? Check it out below to find out. It’s worth every second of your time too, as this short is proof that a lack of money means nothing when someone is imaginative and talented. Which Jeffrey Martin Scott really is, not just as a creator, but as an actor (the dialogue from all is hammy, but that’s kind of the point). The icing on this Christmas cake is the fact that it’s got a vein of dark humour running through it as well.
