Praise The Great Old Ones, it’s another low-budget adaption of a famous piece of H.P. Lovecraft work. Here, it’s Lovecraft’s The Shadow Over Innsmouth that is getting a loose adaption. Called The Innsmouth School for Girls, it comes from writer and director Joshua Kennedy.
Directed by Alice Maio Mackay, who co-wrote the story with Benjamin Pahl Robinson, T-Blockers is an artistic and meta horror film.
With a strong lead actor, serene visuals, a haunting score, and a blend of psychological horror with supernatural scares, Lovely, Dark, and Deep should be a great film.
What The Tank lacks in originality, it makes up for in tone. Writer and director Scott Walker has worked hard to deliver something with atmosphere, all while staying true to the core (often lazy) elements of a monster movie.
Written and directed by Cameron and Colin Cairnes, Late Night with the Devil has a lot of buzz around it. Having been premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) in 2023, Shudder picked it up and will be releasing in on their platform on April 19th, 2024.
Writer and director Luca Zanlorenzi’s low-budget horror movie, BlackOut, is 80 minutes of your life simply wasted.
