BRUJERIA and BREED 77 Amongst the First Wave of Bands Announced to Perform at UPRISING 7!

After one of the biggest crowds the festival has seen at Uprising 6, Leicestershire’s best Heavy Metal festival returns for its seventh instalment on Saturday 25th May.

Taking place across three stages at the O2 Academy in Leicester, Uprising welcomes a wealth of talent from across the globe to next year’s line up.

Firstly, American extreme metal titans BRUJERIA will be bringing the violence to Uprising. With a career spanning 34 years, BRUJERIA are back with a brand new album ‘Esto Es Brujeria’ and will be performing a set full of their biggest hits, you can expect to hear ‘La Migra (Cruza La Frontera II)’, ‘Revolución’, ‘Marijuana’ and many more. The band have been unable to comment on their appearance due to flying back from a very successful European Tour.

Also performing at Uprising 7 is the return of Gibraltan, Alt Metal band BREED 77. The band went on hiatus in 2014, shortly after the release of their 2013 album ‘The Evil Inside’. However in 2021 the band announced that they will be reforming with original singer Paul Isola back on vocal duties. After building up a successful YouTube channel of covers, the band are now ready to hit the road. See them at Uprising EXCLUSIVELY!

Making their Uprising debut is Hardcore Punk legends DISCHARGE. Making their debut in 1977, the band have been a major influence on some of the biggest bands in the industry. A band that makes Sex Pistols sound like One Direction. Expect to hear songs and carnage from across their 40+ career

Returning to Uprising is Scottish, Progressive Metal juggernauts, RAMAGE INC. With three albums under their belt, Ramage Inc have performed as many prestigious festivals with Bloodstock, Download and ProgPower being just a few. Their music is sophisticated, heavy and sublime, a band you won’t want to miss.

Other additions to this year’s line up are FORLORN, who have blended elements of folk, horror and paganism into their music to make their own brand of Midsommar Metal. After a storming set at The Night Before Uprising last year, returning is Brighton’s finest TRIBE OF GHOSTS.
