The rise of Tortured Demon has been phenomenal, first gaining the attention of the metal world through the fact that the band were so young when they first appeared on the scene.
Forming in 2018, Tortured Demon can be simply summed up as thrash metal, but they offer more than that. Blending in death and groove metal to create something called ‘thrashcore’. A heavy, infectious, and memorable style of music that helped catapult them on to the Jägermeister stage at Bloodstock in 2021.
Where you there? If so, then you remember how packed and intense that show was. Famously, this show almost brought the tent down. Not many bands can say that about their first ever performance at Bloodstock.
It was a given that they would be brought back at some point in the future and, with their brand-new album ‘Rise of the Lifeless’ out now, there is no better time for Tortured Demon to make their triumphant return to Bloodstock.
Rise of the Lifeless is proof that Tortured Demon are not a ‘one hit wonder’ and that they are only getting better as time goes by. – GBHBL ‘Rise of the Lifeless’ review

Tortured Demon will take to the Sophie Lancaster stage on the Saturday of the festival. Do not miss them. We spoke to the band about what it means to play the festival, what Bloodstock means to them, and what attendees can expect from their show, and they had this to say:
It means so much for us to be playing Bloodstock this year, and especially as we’ll be playing tracks from our new album for the first time. Bloodstock itself also means a great deal to us, as it was where we played our first show outside of Manchester back in 2021. We had a killer response on that day, and things started really building for us from there, so we owe a great deal to Bloodstock for having faith in us so early on after our first album was released. Our set this year will be the start of the touring cycle for our second album Rise Of The Lifeless, and our we’ll be bringing a high-octane thrash show to the Sophie Stage on the Saturday morning. We’re really looking forward to it!
