Bloodstock 2022 Band Feature: Red Method
Bloodstock Open Air 2022 takes place from August 11th and August 14th with a line-up that might be one of the best the festival has ever put on. A wide array of rock and metal acts spread across four stages, it’s looking likely to be a weekend not to be missed. Pick up tickets here.
There are bands and then there is Red Method. One of the most exciting UK acts who have been tearing it up all over the country over the past few years.
Once upon a time, any mention of Red Method began by talking about the rise of the group from the ashes of previous well-known bands. Now, and thanks to their hard work, Red Method have defined themselves as their own thing. Their own beast, their own incredible live act.
They’ve not even been around that long either which is even more impressive.
Pre-pandemic the savage groove monsters were killing it with a ton of appearances on festivals and supporting big names in the rock and metal world. Then they released their debut album ‘For the Sick’ and everyone else started to pay attention. An album that we described as:
Delivering a masterclass of heavy, For the Sick has crossover appeal. In that it leans as much towards a more radio friendly level of heavy while also having a deep enough savage edge to turn the heads of those who like the nastier side of metal.
An album that still gets regular play to this day. Alongside their eclectic remix-album, ReWorks. Which helped breathe fresh live into For the Sick and helped keep Red Method’s name out there during the harder moments of the pandemic period.
Did that period dent Red Method’s drive or focus? Did it fuck. The sextet came bursting out of the gates hungrier then ever and have picked up exactly where they left off. Everywhere they have gone, they have left crowds of people talking about them. Where you there or did you see the videos from of them headlining the Takeover Stage at Download Festival 2022? That there was a superstar making performance but they’re only just getting started.
Making their triumphant return to Bloodstock after performing on the Sophie Lancaster stage in 2019, Red Method are back. This time to take on the Ronnie James Dio stage and it promises to be a ‘were you there’ moment. The first band on the Friday of the festival, it’s a challenge that the band relish. Don’t take our word for it, we spoke to them and asked them what it means to playing the festival and what fans can expect from their show.
Bloodstock is the epitome of a proper independent metal festival and to be invited to open the main stage along a ton of legendary bands is mind blowing. We are ready for it !! I almost feel like we are a group of lions waiting to be unleashed from our cages to paint the world red. Make sure you are there early to witness the carnage as we plan to wake up every single BloodStocker.
