Do you want some? Cage Fight landed some killer blows this year and have turned the hardcore scene on its head. Originally starting as little more than a bedroom project by TesseracT guitarist James Monteith and long-time friend and collaborator, bassist / MC Jon Reid, Cage Fight has grown into a something teeth-smashingly present. Now made up of James, Jon, drummer Nick Plews and vocalist Rachel Aspe.

Hungry, pissed off and ready to start a ruck, Cage Fight came out of the blocks with fire in their eyes and stompy hardcore groove in their soul. Releasing their debut self-titled album on May 13th, 2022 via Candlelight/Spinefarm Records. A record that went down very well with just about everyone who heard it. We know, we reviewed it and loved it.

Thirteen original bouts of brawling noise that runs the entire hardcore gambit and one Body Count cover, Cage Fight have come out swinging here. This debut will leave you sore all over but loving every nick, bruise, ache and broken bone. Each earned because Cage Fight are delivering a blistering blast of hardcore that starts off hot and doesn’t cool down once.

It’s not just on record that Cage Fight deliver such bruising music either, as live, they are just as dangerous, if not more. Bloodstockers may not be fully aware what they’re in for when Cage Fight hit the Sophie stage on the Saturday of the festival. It is going to be immense. Don’t take our word for it, Cage Fight had this to say:

Cage Fight are over the moon to be given this opportunity to play select cuts off their recently released album and guarantee to bring the fire at Bloodstock.
