Bloodstock 2021 Band Feature: PaRtY-CaNnOn

If there’s a sub-genre of metal that always goes down well at Bloodstock, it is BSDM. That’s brutal slamming death metal, where many bands look to push the already ridiculous genre to new and obscene grounds. One such band, that should surely need no introduction, that pushes and pushes and pushes, is PaRtY-CaNnOn.

A five-piece BSDM band that does it in their own unique style – one they call ‘Party Slam’. If those two words don’t get you excited about what this band has to offer, well, you’re a humourless tit.

Hailing from Dunfermline, Scotland and signed to Gore House Productions, PaRtY-CaNnOn have subjected a large portion of the planet to a partying. Having frequently toured the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. Beloved up and down the land, they’ve been partying since 2010.

They have a slew of releases under their belts, vomiting up a number of singles and demos in their early years. Before giving birth to their iconic EP; Partied in Half. Released in 2013, this EP took the slam death world by storm and was followed up by the debut full-length, Bong Hit Hospitalisation in 2015 and the Perverse Party Platter in 2017.

Always doing something, until ‘you know what’ brought a halt to parties, PaRtY-CaNnOn have a ton of spent up energy to expend.

The party is taking place on the Sophie Lancaster Stage on the Saturday of the festival. It is coming, you best have your slam shoes on. Don’t take our word for it though, we asked the band themselves what fans can expect and they had this to say:

Bloodstock attendees can expect the most IQ lowering party of their lives. Slam riffs, blastbeats, inflatables and more. We also have a special surprise for the middle of our set which might just possibly make Bloodstock history. Stay healthy and we’ll see you in that slow moving circle pit.
