Bloodstock 2018 – Band Feature/Interview: Imminent Annihilation
This year’s Bloodstock Festival is shaping up to be one of the best ever with a line-up that spans all genres of rock and metal. If you haven’t picked up your tickets yet, what are you waiting for!? Check out our five reasons why you should go there.
Earning a spot on the New Blood Stage at this year’s Bloodstock festival, Imminent Annihilation formed in late 2011 and has been constantly evolving since day one. They play deep and groovy heavy metal.
In 2014 they entered the studio to record their debut EP; ‘The Annex Between Creation and Annihilation’. Since then they have been working on different styles of metal, taking influence from wherever they found it and are now currently working on a follow up to ‘Annex’. They aim to enter the studio mid-to late 2018 to record their first debut album (as yet untitled).
Make sure you check them out when they play on Sunday!

Interview
1. Congratulations on being added to the BOA 2018 bill. How are you feeling about playing the festival?
It has been one of our main ambitions to play Bloodstock as Jordan (our vocalist), Connor (our lead guitarist) and Richard (our bassist) go almost every year. Ecstatic is pretty close to describing how we’re feeling right now.
2. What can attendees expect from your set?
Very heavy music… If you want specifics, come see us and find out, we’ve got a few surprises in store…
3. What is the latest on your debut album? Can you tell us anything about it?
We’re still currently in the writing process, but we’re drawing inspiration from many different styles of extreme metal such as Black Metal, Djent and Brutal Death Metal. This is going to be a pretty versatile album.
4. Are you going to be around the festival all weekend? If so, who are you excited to see?
Oh yes, we’re not missing a second of this! Especially Judas Priest, Alestorm, DevilDriver, Bloodbath, Fozzy and Orphaned Land.
5. What does the rest of 2018 look like for Imminent Annihilation?
In September we’re booked to enter the studio to start recording our debut album. Once it has been finished we shall be looking to release it early 2019. So keep your eyes peeled.
