1. Scream

Scream is one of the first horror movies scheduled for release in 2022. The Scream remake re-introduces one of the most notorious characters in horror film history. A new Ghostface killer is on the prowl for victims with connections to the original in the fifth edition of the series, which is set 25 years after the first.

Several original cast members, including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette, made a comeback. But in addition, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minette, Jack Quaid, Jenna Ortega, and other actors who play these new Woodsboro inhabitants were introduced.

2. A Nightmare on Elm Street

Timeless Classic! The main character, Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp), and her friends are stalked in their dreams and ultimately killed by the ghost of the local child killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund).

Kayla begins playing the game akin to “Choose Your Own Adventure” with the assistance of her pal Isaac. But as a succession of terrifying incidents occur, and reality begins to disintegrate, Kayla and Isaac realize that the game they are playing is not a game at all.

4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The venerable slasher series has returned. It streamed exclusively on Netflix during its release. This film is a direct sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974, and it centers on Leatherface and a fresh batch of unintentionally disturbing victims. Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, and Nell Hudson are among the cast members.

5. Umma

Sandra Oh from Killing Eve and Fivel Stewart from Atypical feature in this eerie suspense film directed by Iris Shim. The two actors portray a mother and daughter who work as beekeepers on a farm and live a calm life. After receiving her mother’s remains from South Korea, Oh’s character Amanda is informed that “her wrath will grow as long as she remains in the box.”

The ghost of Amanda’s mother soon begins tormenting her life as her daughter wonders what secrets and lies her mother has been hiding. Also, the trailer cautions, “Don’t become your mother.”

Sam Raimi directed the first three installments of the Spider-Man trilogy and produced Umma.

6. You Won’t Be Alone

The story of You Won’t Be Alone is set in the 1800s in a little nation called Macedonia, found on the Balkan Peninsula in southeast Europe. Generally, the movie tells the disturbing story of what happens after a little girl named Nevena is abducted by the ferocious Old Maid Maria, also known as the Wolf-Eater.

When Old Maid Maria turns Nevena into a shape-shifting witch, she starts killing the villagers. After a while, Nevena discovers that she has the ability to assume the identity of her victims after they submit to her horrifying powers.
